The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has emphasized that the UAE places a high priority on the preservation of its national heritage.
He also pointed out that the leadership is always working to introduce and carry out programs that improve the nation’s cultural heritage protection.
The Crown Prince visited the teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi digital arts museum, the Zayed National Museum, and the Natural History Museum – Abu Dhabi. He was informed about the status of the last phases of important museums and cultural institutions’ development, which are all scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized that the Saadiyat Cultural District is a step towards the United Arab Emirates’ commitment to preserving its rich past and promoting intercultural understanding among different cultures and civilizations. The district’s museums and institutes uphold the cultural legacy left by the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and promoting it to present and future generations. He also emphasized the leadership’s commitment to establishing Abu Dhabi as a center of creativity and culture on a worldwide scale.
His Highness explored the UAE’s national museum, the Zayed National Museum, which honors the nation’s rich cultural heritage. The unique exterior of the museum, which is inspired by falcon feathers, has been finished, and the inside plans are almost finished and later visited the main atrium, which was intended to showcase the property’s stunning architecture. The Crown Prince was also briefed on the halls of the museum that demonstrate the tale of the United Arab Emirates rich past and advanced & innovative engineering techniques employed, notably in the Natural History Museum, where visitors will go on a 13.8 billion year journey through the history of the universe and humanity. He also met engineering teams and UAE National talents working on the district’s cultural projects and examined the galleries, which will provide an unmatched perspective on significant events in the history of our planet and natural history.
Sheikh Khaled also examined the development of teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, a 17,000-square-metre space that combines technology and art. Through dynamic exhibits influenced by natural occurrences, the immersive digital arts center will foster innovation while the exteriors and interiors of the structure are designed to inspire visitors through innovative experiences.
